Salary/Rate: £21.52 per hour (plus accrued holiday pay)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Single Trade Decorator (two vacancies) to join the Resident Safety & Repairs team within a Local Authority.
The candidates will need to have experience as a Damp, Mould, and Condensation (DMC) Operatives, providing their own tools while on agency placement, but the L/A will be providing the following:
- Council van
- Fuel card
- Trade card
- Uniform
- PDA / tablet
- Specialist DMC PPE as required
- Plant equipment
We are seeking 2x DMC operatives to join the Resident Safety & Repairs team. The candidate must be experienced in identifying and reducing the risks posed by damp, mould and condensation and preferably hold a DMC qualification.
The candidate will be required to complete mould washes and redecorations to any treated areas, so they must have an NVQ in decorating. Experience completing minor property reports is desired as they will need to escalate any causes of the damp and condensation to a qualified surveyor.
An awareness of Awaab’s Law is important, ongoing awareness training will be provided.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- To be experienced in identifying and reducing the risks posed by damp, mould and condensation
- Preferably hold a DMC qualification
- Experience in social housing
- Organised, with the ability to manage a busy workload
