About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our Direct Repairs team. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality electrical repairs and maintenance services to residents, internal teams, and external partners.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving testing, inspection, and fault-finding across residential properties. There will also be opportunities to increase your earnings through occasional out-of-hours work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance across residential properties
- Conduct electrical testing, inspections, and condition surveys
- Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Diagnose faults and complete remedial works efficiently
- Produce clear and accurate reports following inspections and works
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations and safety standards
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
- Participate in out-of-hours work when required
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications (Electrical Installation – one required):
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation + AM2
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2
- City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3 (post-Sept 2011)
- City & Guilds 2365 Levels 2 & 3 + AM2
- City & Guilds 2357 (including AM2)
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346) + AM2E
Inspection & Testing (one required):
- City & Guilds 2391 – Periodic Inspection & Testing
- City & Guilds 2395 – Inspection & Testing
Wiring Regulations (essential):
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical installation and/or maintenance
- Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and compliance standards
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points, no serious offences)
- At least 2 years of driving experience
- Willingness to undergo licence checks as part of pre-employment screening
